Spring in Copenhagen

This Saturday, I was in Copenhagen to join a photowalk with GGFF - Göteborgs gatufotoförening. It was a fantastic day that even though it was the first day of spring felt more like summer.

I haven’t done street photography as focused as before, and I noticed that I it didn’t come as easy as I wanted. My big takeaway is that I want to think more about what I’m shooting - perspectives, facial expressions and composition, rather than just reacting and shooting from where I already stand.

Here are some photos from the day:

Malmöfestivalen 2022

Since 1985, there’s a festival in Malmö each August. It’s been cancelled the last 2 years, but this year things are back to normal. I took to the streets to shoot some festival people.

Ice in Malmö

I live in the southernmost part of Sweden and we don’t get snow and ice here very often. This winter, though, we did get a week or two of freezing temperatures so everything froze - lakes, canals and even parts of the sea.

I went on a walk with a friend and saw all these beautiful patterns in the ice - both in the sea and on land. I just had to go back the next day and shoot some images. Also, there were lots of people who dared walking on the ice in the canal, so I couldn’t resist shooting some of them too.

Stockholm March 2018

When I go somewhere for work, I try to get just an hour or two to shoot. These shots are from a quick trip to Stockholm. The building is the old airport, which is still operational. I try to take the train as much as possible, but this tim I flew home.
